Firstly, find the right level of certification you are interested in. There are usually two different flavors of each exam. Associate and Professional.
Associate certifications are for those who are new to SAP and would like to demonstrate to employers and others in the industry their expertise. The Associate certification covers all the fundamental requirements of a SAP consultant. This certification helps you stand out among fierce competition, demonstrates competency and confidence within a particular skill set. Most importantly, it’s a mark of excellence that clients often look for.
The Professional certification requires proven project experience and an understanding of the SAP solutions. This type of certification is more advanced than the associate version. The Professional exams are more difficult and require you to have a deep expertise in a particular aspect of BI/BW. Professional certificate holders also are able to command higher bill rates than Associates.
